Fees

There is no tax applied to our sessions since counselling from an RSW is GST and PST exempt.
You can claim your RSW services receipt on your income tax return. Social Workers are recognized as medical practitioners under the Income Tax Act (Canada Revenue).

Languages

Counselling is offered in English and Punjabi.

Extended health benefit

Many people have access to extended health insurance plan through their employer. These plans often cover counselling services, so you can directly use this coverage towards your session. However, it is important to check with your insurance company or group plan to find out details about the type of coverage you have.

You will need to ensure you are covered for counselling services provided by RSW or Registered Social Workers. If you have this type of insurance, you simply provide your insurance company with your counselling session receipt from Shared Wellness, and you will be reimbursed based on your plan.

Cancellation policy

We understand things come up. Please provide us with at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. You will be charged your full session fee if you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment time.
